The Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) is pleased to announce delivery of nominal rolls for 2017 Primary School Leaving Certificate of Education (PSLCE) and Malawi School Certificate of Education (MSCE) examinations to all districts. The delivery has been made through District Education Managers’ offices.
Nominal roll is a list of names and fine details of registered candidates. The list produced after receiving their data from district education offices as received from the candidates’ respective examination centres.
All registered candidates— more especially external candidates most of whom have not been taking this exercise seriously— are, therefore, expected to visit their schools so that they verify the correctness of their details. Should there be any area requiring correction, concerned registered candidates should register those corrections with their school heads who will in turn write MANEB to make necessary amendments.
Closing dates for receiving queries arising from the nominal rolls are as follows:
· PSLCE: 14th April, 2017
· MSCE: 28th April, 2017
All registered candidates are, Therefore, urged to visit their respective schools for this exercise beffore the stated deadlines.
Further, heads of schools or examination officers are also encouraged to let the registered candidates access the nominal roll to allow for the said verification of candidates’ details. Schools are further reminded that this exercise is not the same as registration; hence, they should not insert any new students onto the nominal roll. Any school that chooses to insert new names during this exercise will be disciplined accordingly in line with MANEB Act
